Perfectly Petite

Perfectly Petite

Perfectly Petite is…
A support group and campaign for petite models trying to “break the mould”. Founded by Nicole Abbott in October 2010.

They Aim to…
Promote petite models and gain more modelling opportunities for shorter models. We are hoping to break through the height restrictions barrier that agencies and the fashion industry put up. Female, 5ft 7ins and below? Male and under 6ft tall? We want you to join us in raising awareness for petite models everywhere.

Their Philosophy…
Small models with big ambition… Let’s put a stop to discrimination against height. We believe in equality, diversity and a healthy body image. Any shape, any size, any colour, any age, any gender; as long as you’re below industry standard height.

Today i was supporting the Scottish model group ‘Perfectly Petite’ in a photo shoot with photographer Duncan Holmes at the Dreghorn Photography Studio in Glasgow.

Scottish model group ‘Perfectly Petite’ collaborated with photographer Duncan Holmes to produce images to promote a healthier body image within the fashion industry. Campaigning for a more realistic body image in modelling, ‘Perfectly petite’ raises awareness of the challenges petite models face due to the arbitrary height standards the fashion world imposes.

9 petite models from across Scotland & North of the border arrived to have a latest photo-shoot show off designs of Scottish designers Psychomoda, Velvet Elvis, C. Watson, Eleanor’s riot and all headwear by Karen Reid.
